"You know sometimes, life brings out its complications. It throws you, and you don't expect the curveball. That's what happened to me about 2 ½ years ago when I got diagnosed with diabetes. It threw my whole world upside down, right in the middle of a tour. And on my way to the hospital that night, I made a commitment to myself that I wouldn't let it slow me down. And I'm here today, I'm here to tell you, that is hasn't slowed me down. 'Cause I know there are some of you out here today who just need a little bit of hope. Am I right? A couple of you just need a friend. We were up in Canada recently shooting a movie and I was having one of those days...where I just needed a little bit of hope. So I sat down and wrote this song. let me tell you something. Tonight, this song is for you.
